“My family wanted to go and I really wanted it to happen. I just wanted to bring a smile on my family’s face and that is how this plan came about. And now I am all excited about it,” Oberoi said.
“We are here for a couple of days,” he added.
Oberoi’s visit to Allahabad comes after the birth of his son, Vivaan, with wife Priyanka on February 6.
The actor is also earning rave reviews for his performance in just released film “Zila Ghaziabad”.
“I have kept my son’s name Vivaan, which means ‘morning sun’. I am so happy. What a fabulous February it has been! He has brought a lot of love, luck and happiness in my life. And also I have been getting positive response for my performance in ‘Zila Ghaziabad’ too. This could be the best time to be here,” he added.
The actor’s trip also comes with regard to “Ganga Action Plan”, of which he is a brand ambassador. The campaign aims at having clean Ganga river.
“A lot of efforts are being made towards having a clean river eco-system. I think I will spend time here on both the spiritual aspect as well as the practical aspect,” he added.
