Stronger and wiser
One of the things that KC Concepcion did after her tearful TV interview, where she announced her break-up with actor Piolo Pascual, was to chop off her hair. In fact, when she was spotted sporting her new hairdo, she quoted designer Coco Channel and said, "A woman who cuts her hair is about to change her life."
Since then so many changes have happened in her life.
Excerpts from the interview;
How are you now after the break-up with Piolo?
Stronger and wiser. It was probably something that I needed to go through so I can have a better perspective on life. Now, I'm enjoying it a bit more — I feel the emotions more. It's like more intense, the happiness or the still occasional bouts with sadness. And I guess that's what makes life more worth living.
Are you happy with the haircut?
Oh, yes. I feel lighter, and I feel it's a great way to show the world that I'm really headed off to a different direction.
Some big changes, we presume. You just had a sexy photo shoot for a magazine?
Yes, big changes. It just happened that my sexy pictorial happened first, but that's not representative of the changes I am going to do with my life. I just want people to know I am taking more risks and chances because I am a strong person
Did you mother, Sharon Cuneta, approve?
She's very supportive of what I do. She knows I'm a big girl now, and she's just there to support me in whatever I do. We may have differences at times; that's normal between mums and daughters, but we always come back to the strongest bond between us, which is love.
You'll soon be doing the Philippine version of the X Factor. Excited?
Very excited. I did Star Circle Quest Kids edition before and it was fun discovering great talent. Filipinos are good singers, and there are so many singing competitions. It will be a challenge to find a truly great stand out, the one with the X Factor.
Are you ready to fall in love again?
Being in love is such a nice feeling, so who wouldn't want to fall in love again. It's not a question of when, but loving who? If I find the right person tomorrow, then so be it. Let the love begin.

Deportation denied
Singing sensation Christian Bautista denied being deported by Indonesian immigration for breaking the country's 30-day visa laws regarding foreign performing artists. Media in Jakarta reported the singer was questioned while performing at a concert in Lippo Karawaci last week, even though he didn't have the permit to perform. The Manila-based Filipino singer has allegedly been banned from Indonesia for six months. But Bautista's handlers quickly issued a statement saying the singer never violated any laws, and was in fact scheduled to return to Jakarta for a Valentine's Day show.
Far from superhero fantasy
Richard Gutierrez is shying away from fantasy for his next TV series. The actor admitted he had been typecast into the "superhero" mould in enough television series so he has requested the creative team to challenge him as an actor. Not known to be a talented actor, Gutierrez's fantasy roles after the success of Mulawin marked his ascent to the top. For his next show, Gutierrez promises he will work hard to show he's got talent, not just good looks.
World tour
Willie Revillame just celebrated his 51st birthday, and one of the things he bought for himself as a gift is a brand new private jet. He already has one but plans on buying a bigger plane, which he and his staff will use when Wil Time Big Time embarks on its world tour in May. Revillame has always been a big draw for Filipino expats worldwide. Many of those who have encountered misfortune while working abroad have found a helping hand in Revillame, who counts overseas Filipino workers as one of his many causes.
Friends, again
While Willie Revillame is wearing a huge smile for the continued success, his friends John Estrada (pictured) and Randy Santiago are singing a sad tune as their noontime show, Happy Yipee Yehey!, ends its run next week. The two had a falling out last year when they decided to accept hosting chores for a show that aired on a time slot that used to broadcast Wowowee. The two camps, primarily Revillame and Estrada, even exchanged bitter words for some time. But last Saturday, Estrada and Santiago greeted Revillame on his birthday — perhaps an attempt to mend ties with ex- best friend.
