One of Hollywood’s most formidable teams is set to reunite for a Cold War thriller based on the case of downed U-2 spy plane pilot Gary Powers, according to Hollywood Reporter on Monday.

Tom Hanks will star in the film, and Steven Spielberg is in talks to direct the movie, the report said. Hanks will play the role of James Donovan, an attorney who handled negotiations for the release of Powers from Soviet custody after his plane was downed at the height of the Cold War.

Spielberg and Hanks previously collaborated on Saving Private Ryan, The Terminal and Catch Me if You Can and the miniseries Band of Brothers.
