The convocation ceremony for the first batch of outgoing students of Radaan Actor Prepares, a school of acting in Chennai, was held on June 30.

Director Gautham Menon, who distributed certificates to students said, “They are all well-versed with the subject now and it is going to be easier [to land roles] when compared to those who come for screen tests as fresh talent.”

Advising students to take up any role that came their way, he said, “For an actor all that matters is a performance, be it the lead role or a cameo, it’s how much you can make an impact to the viewers is what matters.”

Radhika Sarath Kumar, who heads Radaan Actor Prepares, said: “Being in the industry for so long, I realise what it takes to be an actor. Those days, there was nobody to tell us how to present ourselves. It has been a learning experience but, in today’s competitive world you have to be the best. Radaan Actor Prepares is a joint collaboration with actor Anupam Kher’s school of acting."
