B Symth /2 Chainz –Leggo

B Smyth started his career by doing music covers and posting them on his YouTube channel. It wasn’t long before he got noticed by producers. He is a complete artist, he dances, sings and writes his own music. Leggo is a hip hop/ r’n’b track and by far my favourite this week. This young boy knows how to work his voice around the beat, creating a unique melody with its tone. 2 Chains bring his urban touch and the overall result is just great. I’ll follow B Smyth closely.

DJ Earworm – United State of Pop 2012

DJ Earworm is back with his yearly mashup and it’s AWESOME. He managed to mix 25 hits of 2012 in 1 song and it’s flawless. There is no better way to look back on our life than through music, and each one of these tracks reminds us of a moment or a story that happened to us during 2012. This is what makes this song magical. I can’t wait to see what will complete our 2013 playlist.

Mikky Ekko – Pull me down

Mikky Ekko brings some sweetness and softness to our radio. Similar to Frank Ocean, he plays with his voice on a deep slow melody which makes this tune perfect to relax after a long day at work. Having started his career in 2012, this rising star has already featured on Rihanna’s latest song ‘Stay’, also playing on Radio 1. There is not enough artists doing this genre of music and I’m thrilled to have a new one to add to my collection.

The Bingo Players feat Far East Movement – Rattle (Get Up)

Far East Movement did it again and brought us another proper party track. The constant catchy beat keeps your head banging but the best part of this song is actually the video clip. You must go and watch it, it’s hilarious. The Bingo Players add a kind of house feeling to the track that brings it to another level. You can be sure it will be rocking every nightclub in the UAE this NYE.
