Even in an age when it has become de rigueur for pregnant celebrities to pose nude, this image of Sienna Miller could never pass unnoticed.

The painting shows the Factory Girl actress with a gold sheen to her skin, while her hair has been left the same grey colour as the background.

The 30-year-old posed for artist Jonathan Yeo just weeks before giving birth to daughter Marlowe, her first child with fellow British actor Tom Sturridge, 26, in July. Mr Yeo — the son of former Tory minister Tim — said of the portrait, which was unveiled yesterday as part of an exhibition of his work in Berlin: “Sienna is usually so petite and such a wonderful fashion clothes horse, and the fact she is so transformed means it has all the more impact.

“It is a tribute to her courage and self-confidence that she agreed to sit for this.”
