Unbeatable trio

GMA stars Mark Anthony Fernandez, Camille Prats and child wonder Mona Louise Rey will reunite in a TV series entitled Bukod Kang Pinagpala (Blessed Art Thou). The three were the same artists that collaborated on the top-rating series Munting Heredera (Little Heir) which ruled the primetime block when it aired for several months last year. Prats is delighted to be working with Fernandez and Rey, and is excited she is back to working in a drama series after a short break when Luna Blanca ended middle of last year. At a press conference for the new programme, Prats denied rumours she is dating director Dominic Zapata. She said she is still not ready to date, although his husband passed away in 2011.

Not transferring

It looks like Richard Gutierrez is going to remain a GMA artist after a story conference for a new programme in which the actor will appear was announced last week. The new action-fantasy series is tentatively titled Exodus, and is scheduled to begin airing middle of March. Very little details were released to the media, except for the cast, which will include child star Jillian Ward and character actor T.J. Trinidad. It seems like GMA was in a rush to give the actor who is rumoured to be seeking a transfer to another network, like another GMA prized actor, Dingdong Dantes.

Still in

Superstar Nora Aunor is still very much a part of the TV series on TV5 Never Say Goodbye, according to its director Mac Alejandre. Nasty stories of Aunor being back to her old prima donna ways began surfacing immediately after news broke out of the series’ delayed taping schedule. Apparently, Aunor called in sick a few weeks back and has not returned to the set. She has since been hospitalized for a still unknown illness, but people close to her it was related to her throat which was affected by a cosmetic procedure she had three years back. TV5 executives also came out with a statement denying the superstar was a problem on the set, but confirmed that her sickness is causing a bit of a delay.

Relationship confirmed

Finally, Aljur Abrenica and Kyllie Padilla have confirmed they are in a relationship. The two previously denied they were a couple, despite being seen on dates several times in the last few months. Padilla admitted she was worried about what her father, action star Robin Padilla, would say if he found out. But the love birds decided to come clean with the elder Padilla and got an approval; hence the confirmation. The younger Padilla also swears this is not a promo gimmick for a new project.
