Daza says no to pageants

Model-turned actress Isabelle Daza thinks one beauty queen in the family is enough. Daza, daughter of former Miss Universe 1969 Gloria Diaz, says she has no intentions of joining any beauty pageant, despite having the height and the looks that could probably land her an international beauty title. Instead the statuesque beauty says she would rather just concentrate on her movie career. Daza has earned good reviews for her performance in the movie It Takes A Man And A Woman starring John Lloyd Cruz and Sarah Geronimo. The movie is Daza’s first.

Not just yet

Primetime TV queen Marian Rivera is not ready to work with Heart Evangelista again. The two actresses had a bitter fight last year, after Evangelista alleged she received a shabby treatment from Rivera while on the set of Temptation Island. Rivera says she was accused of many things she didn’t do and was the victim of a nasty publicity campaign. Both Rivera and Evangelista belong to the same network and plans have been floated about a project in which the two will star in. Rivera, according to insiders, has quietly protested to network executives.
