We know of stars doing their bit by gracing a charity event as guest of honour and even auctioning their wardrobe for charity. But for Bollywood's so called bad boy Dutt, charity begins at home - like when he recently invited a group of children to his house to spend quality time with them. The actor, who organised a tsunami benefit concert in 2005, also runs an NGO for underprivileged women and disabled children, called Damage. Image Credit: Supplied

Sanjay Dutt will finally work in a Mahesh Manjrekar film. The change of heart occurred at the recent IFFA award ceremony in Colombo, where the two buried the hatchet and decided to kickstart the project, Ek Anokhi Prem Kahani, that had been lying in cold storage for long. In the film, Sanjay will share screen space with Kareena Kapoor for the first time. Mahesh is, of course, over the moon with this development. In an interview with a Mumbai daily, he said, "The film was planned with Sanju and Kareena right after her debut in Refugee. She projected a pristine beauty and innocence that I needed to play up against Sanju's character. Though Kareena has matured in ten years, I find the same quality of unspoilt beauty and grace in her. Sanju also has aged wonderfully. To me they still work for my love story." Let's hope it works at the box office as well.

Not a funny scene

The rumour mills have it that Sanjay Leela Bhansali, who is producing My Friend Pinto, is giving the film's director Raghav Dar a tough time. Apparently, he drops in on the sets and asks Dar to reshoot whatever he doesn't like, without understanding the director's vision. According to sources, once he even asked Dar to change the sets, scenes and even the choreography. Although the film starring Prateik and Kalki Koechlin is supposed to be a comedy, Dar, who has assisted Mani Ratnam and worked with Sanjay on his play Padmavati, is not finding the experience funny.

Katrina Kaif does not like wearing make-up. She claims that she doesn't "need to apply much make-up. Besides, the team that works on me is so good that I have fun all the time." This Kat is definitely meowing. Wonder how theother actresses, who have taken wearing make-up to another level, will react to this comment … or to her, for that matter.
