Dubai: Salman Khan has chosen Dubai for the world premiere his film Jai Ho. The red carpet roll call which will see Khan, his leading lady Daisy Shah and director Sohail Khan at Meydan Imax at 8pm on January 22, confirmed the film’s co-producer, Parvez Khan of Pacific Ventures.

Directed by Khan’s brother Sohail Khan, Jai Ho is the story of the power of the ordinary man and sees Khan fight injustice in society. It’s reportedly the remake of a South Indian film, Stalin, starring Telugu actor Chiranjeevi.

A portion of the action scenes were filmed in Dubai’s Wonderland Theme and Waterpark in March last year.

“We enjoy a special relationship with Salman bhai and Sohail bhai. We at Pacific Ventures is proud to be associated with a film that has such a strong social message. What makes it special is that several scenes were shot here in this city and we know that these brothers love Dubai a lot,” said Parvez. Sohail is the face of Pacific Ventures, a property developer in Dubai.

While the premiere is an invites-only event, a stage will be erected for the fans to get a better view of the actor before Khan is ushered into the theatre.

Khan, who has delivered blockbusters including Dabangg, Ek Tha Tiger and Bodyguard, is known to trigger mass hysteria during his public appearances. His star power can elevate a questionable screenplay, bring awards glory and set the cash register ringing. Watch this space for more.
