We may never know the details of when and how Rani Mukherjee and Aditya Chopra fell in love, but we can confirm that they enjoyed a great working relationship for more than a decade. We give you some of the interesting Aditya-Rani movie collaborations. Like relationships, they enjoyed a few hits and misses.

Mujse Dosti Karoge (2002): A romantic love triangle featuring three good-looking people. Bollywood heartthrob Hrithik Roshan had the audacity to fall in love with his fiance’s best friend. Mukherjee played the girl-next-door who loved old Hindi songs and romantic novels.

Saathiya (2002): This is our all-time favourite romance, which showed that courtship is easy but making a marriage work requires work. Full marks to Mukherjee and Vivek Oberoi for playing the loved-up couple to perfection.

Hum Tum (2004): In Bollywood’s answer to Harry Met Sally, Saif Ali Khan and Mukherjee hit it off well.

Veer-Zaara (2004): An Indian army officer (Shah Rukh Khan) and Preity Zinta, the Pakistani damsel in distress fall in love; Mukherjee held her own as a fiesty lawyer.

Laaga Chunnari Mein Daag (2007): A movie designed to showcase Mukherjee’s acting prowess, playing a small-town girl who turns to prostitution to save her family. The film didn’t do as well as expected at the box office.
