The former Miss World will debut her single In My City, featuring will.i.am ,on NFL Network’s Thursday Night Football on September 13, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The day may prove to be a double delight for her as her much-anticipated film Barfi, starring Ranbir Kapoor, releases the same night in Dubai.
Sports fans may keep their eyes glued to the face-off between sporting rivals Chicago Bears and the Green Bay Packers, but Bollywood fans will have eyes solely for Chopra and her singing skills.
“It’s been an honour working with the NFL Network to create such a fantastic launch for my debut single,” she told The Hollywood Reporter.
“I’m really thrilled to bring my music and a touch of India to America and its football fans,” she added.
Managed by Troy Carter, CEO of Atom Factory whose clients include Lady Gaga, Chopra is the first Bollywood star to be signed by Hollywood’s leading talent management company CAA. Her full album is expected to release later this year.
