South Indian actor, director and choreographer Prabhu Deva, known for his dancing skills, has been confirmed as the choreaographer for the Indian International Film Academy (IIFA) awards show to be held in June in Singapore. The star, who has directed the upcoming Akshay Kumar-starrer Rowdy Rathore, will also perform at the show.
"Dancing has always been one of my greatest passions and I have always wanted to be a part of an IIFA celebration and this is an ideal opportunity to combine the two," Deva said in a release. "It is going to be a different experience for me personally, choreographing for Bollywood's finest and I'm excited to take on this project. The energy on stage is always fascinating; there are so many talented young actors in Bollywood right now and I look forward to working with them."
To be held for three days from June 7 with the main awards show on the final night, the IIFA Awards will see some of the biggest Indian stars light up the stage. Organisers recently announced actor Shahid Kapoor will play host on the awards night.
Held in a different city every year, this will be Singapore's second time hosting the event.
