Actor Derek Ramsay could have been one of the passengers on the Asiana Airlines flight 214 that crashed in San Francisco recently.
Thankfully, the actor and his manager decided to fly to the US non-stop via Philippine Airlines. Ramsay and his handler arrived at the airport ahead of the doomed flight, which had a stopover in Korea from the Philippines.
The actor was actually still at the airport when the accident happened so he saw the crash from a distance and watched as passengers were evacuated from crashed plane.
Ready to face charges
Sarah Lahbati returned to the Philippines last week from Switzerland where she has been staying since January this year.
Her reasons to go to Switzerland then? To study and rest; but kibitzers think she left a blooming showbiz career because she was pregnant. She also left a storm of controversies, including one in which she accused an executive from her former studio of arranging under-the-table deals involving her for which she was sued for libel.
An arrest warrant has been issued concerning this, which is why one of the first things the actress did was to post bail. In press statements, she said she is ready to face her accusers.
Celeb couple split
Young stars Mark Herras and Ynna Asistio are no longer an item. This was confirmed by the latter in a response to a blog posted on social media. She did not provide any details of the break up, but did deny that they separated because her mother (former actress Nadia Montenegro) owed her ex-boyfriend a huge amount of money.
Asistio said she and Herras remain friends and will continue to “be there for each other whenever they can.” In the meantime, she is taking a break from showbiz to pursue her college degree. Interestingly, the ex-couple just celebrated their fifth anniversary last month.
Scandalous video?
As soon as she announced she will be back, Claudine Barretto became the centre of controversy yet again for announcing that actor husband Raymart Santiago has left their conjugal home.
But her more explosive revelation was the scandalous video of the wife and kids which had become a traumatic experience for them. What the content of the video was Barretto refused to reveal, but said she was making the announcement so that the public would know who released it in case it came out later.
