Peter Andre has been stuck in Dubai thanks to the Icelandic volcano eruption.

But unlike his ex-wife Katie Price who is reportedly just about to erupt herself having found herself "stranded" on her belated honeymoon in Egypt Andre says there are worse places to be stuck and is happily entertaining his fans as well as his children.

"How is everyone holding up? Lots of people stuck here but really cannot complain as is beautiful. Hope you're all ok. Just sending love," he tweeted having just enjoyed a day at Atlantis.

His good mood is probably helped by his rumoured £600,000 (Dh3.36 million) deal with Channel 4 to front his own chat show where he'll interview his famous friends. Andre arrived on an Emirates flight from London with his biological children with Price, Junior and Princess Tiaamii. "Having the most unbelievable time in Atlantis, Dubai with J&P," he said via the tweet deck. Price's son, Harvey, who Andre has adopted, was with his mother.

"It really is something else here. If you ever want a holiday with your kids, this IS the place. Hope you are all well. Be back Sunday, depending on this whole flight situation. Sorry to all stranded wherever you are."

The singer landed in Dubai on April 9 following sell-out concerts in the UK and Jersey in the Channel Islands.

Passengers and crew on the flight said he couldn't have been more kind and accommodating if he had tried. Travelling in the first class cabin, he excitedly met the demands of every mother, grandmother and child to have his picture taken and sign autographs.

Passenger Yolande Metter, 39, returning to Dubai after a two-week stay in the UK, told tabloid! he was a "perfect gentleman".

"It was lovely to meet someone famous who was happy to talk to you," she said. "He was chatty and very polite and his children are adorable and very well-behaved."

A striped, colourful swimsuit and beautiful blonde curls made sure Princess was a hit with mums at the Dubai waterpark Aquaventure.

Again happy to sign autographs and chat to other families in line, there was little in the way of the usual special treatment for Andre and his brood.

Junior wanted to be just like Daddy and went for the obligatory Atlantis rash vest — perfect for the Aussie star and his little surfer boy.

The family, who were staying at the Dubai hotel, enjoyed a dip with the dolphins but it was the shark tunnel which was the children's favourite, according to onlookers.

Andre's spokeswoman confirmed to a UK newspaper they were unsure as to what was going on. The singer was due to fly back to England on Sunday as Junior had to be back at school.

But all he can do is wait to see what happens. "We are monitoring the situation."
