Sandance festival is returning to Atlantis Beach on May 9 with big names in tow — English electro-pop duo Pet Sop Boys and British rapper Fatboy Slim, for starters.
Hip-hop group Arrested Development, indie band Scouting for Girls, South African dance act Goldfish, local duo Hollaphonic and Saudi DJ Omar Basaad will also perform. The all-day festival is slated to begin at 3pm and go on until 3am.
The last Sandance took place on New Year’s Eve with Emeli Sande, Pete Tong, Paul Oakenfold, Axwell and Charli XCX. Due to traffic congestion that stopped many disgruntled fans from attending the event, organisers have confirmed they will provide 50 per cent discounts for ticket-holders of the NYE 2013 Sandance event.
The discount is only valid for the May 9 event and will not be redeemable at future festivals. A press release says ticket-holders are entitled to discounts on “the same number and category of advance purchased tickets from authorised retailers”.
Authorised retailers are listed as Atlantisthepalm.com, Nasimi Beach, Virgin Megastore (in-store) and EPPCO/ENOC stations.
Ticket-holders will receive a discount code from Ticketmaster through email or text message and will be able to redeem it up to May 8, the day before the event.
The discount is redeemable on advance purchases only and is invalid at the door or for table bookings. Table holders who are entitled to discounts will be contacted directly.
