After the much acclaimed laugh riot, Naduvala Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom, Leo Vision Productions is ready with another Tamil comedy.

Once again the title is long — Itharukuthaane Aasaipattai Balakumara — and features Vijay Sethupathy in the lead role with Kannada actress Nandita playing his lover.

Sethupathy’s character is known as “sumar moonji Kumar” (ordinary faced Kumar) and he proudly calls his lover Kumudha, “Super moonji Kumudha.”

“Most of us must know a character like Kumar in the local neighbourhood. He is someone easy to recognise,” Gokul said.

Praising Sethupathy, the law-graduate-turned-filmmaker said: “Vijay is a combination of talent and humility, a trait not much seen.”

Matching steps with Sethupathy’s performance is Ashwin, (last seen in Ajit’s Mangatha) in the role of a marketing executive. Ashwin is paired opposite Telegu actress Swati Reddy. According to Gokul, Swati’s role is a challenging one and she delivered it to perfection. About Nandita, he added: “She is a good performer who strives to add little details to her expressions.”

Nandita said: “Actually I had long dialogues in Tamil, but working opposite Sethupathy only motivated me to put in the best.”

“I enjoyed working on this film and the team was great fun to be with. This is my first at comedy and I am confident that the audience will love this film.”
