When the Red Bull Air Race World Championship gets off to a flying start next week in Abu Dhabi, the action is not going be just up in the air. Organisers have announced Arab superstars Nancy Ajram and Ramy Ayach will headline a concert on February 28 at the Abu Dhabi Corniche. The Lebanese singing stars will be joined by Egyptian pop rockers Wust El Balad.

“The concert will be a night to remember. I am thrilled to be performing in the UAE capital again, especially in the context of such an adrenaline packed event,” said Ajram, a regular in the UAE, in a message.

While all Red Bull Air Race ticketholders will automatically get access to the concert, non-ticketholders will be able to buy concert tickets separately for Dh150.

The Air Race will feature some of the world’s best race pilots in a competition which will see them navigate a low-level aerial track made up of air-filled pylons 25 metres high at speeds of up to 370 kmph. The party though, will start early, as an Adrenaline Zone is set up at the Corniche starting Sunday, February 23. The zone will include a number of appearances by Drift King Abdo Feghali, Stunt Bike Rider Shadi Al Dhaheri, Spanish flatlands biker Viki Gomez, and Romanian trial biker Robert Kovacs.

Grandstand tickets to the Air Race are Dh195 and are valid for Qualifying Day (February 28), the concert (February 28) and Race Day (March 1). Race Club tickets are Dh850 for both days + concert, while Sky Lounge tickets are Dh3,300 for access to the Sky Lounge on Race day + concert. For more, go to redbullairrace.com
