Abhi gets a metallic banana
Bollywood star Abhishek Bachchan has received several awards but probably none of them are as unique as the metallic banana statuette that he was sent for having the worst accent in Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's film Delhi-6.
The actor was named the winner of the Dara Singh Award for the worst accent in Delhi-6 at the second annual Golden Kela awards, which were held in March. But since Bachchan gracefully accepted the title, the organisers decided to send him a real statue for the award.
The Golden Kela awards are a spin-off of Hollywood's Golden Raspberry awards.
In Delhi-6, Abhishek played an NRI (non-resident Indian), who comes to India with his grandmother.
Arjun's a temple volunteer
After Abhishek Bachchan, it is actor Arjun Rampal who did some volunteer work at the Golden Temple in Amritsar as part of his social work.
The actor is in the city with his friends and family
"Going to a Punjabi dhaba [eatery] for dinner, then to do seva at the Golden Temple, thank you Mozezs, Mehr and Bhavna for this great experience," the actor posted on Twitter.
Last month, Bachchan washed dishes at the Golden Temple.
