Tamil period-drama Kochadaiiyaan, starring Rajinikanth, will finally hit screens worldwide on May 9.
“The release date has been locked as May 9. There will no further changes in the film’s release,” Rajinikanth’s manager said.
Touted to be India’s first motion capture photo-realistic 3D animated film, Kochadaiiyaan is directed by Soundarya Rajinikanth Ashwin. It has been made on a budget of Rs1.25 billion (Dh76 million).
Featuring an ensemble cast of Deepika Padukone, Jackie Shroff, R. Sarath Kumar, Naseer, Shobana and Aadi Pinisetty in lead roles, the film has music by double Oscar-winning A.R. Rahman.
It is jointly produced by Media One Global Entertainment and Eros International.
