The veil has been lifted on one of this year’s Dubai Summer Surprises, revealing that fashionista Kimora Lee Simmons will be in town to lend her critical eye to a style session at the Dubai Mall Fashion Catwalk on August 10.
The exclusive session is invite-only, but fear not — fans can get their hands on tickets by participating in an Instagram competition dubbed Dubai Summer Surprises Tag Your Style.
Fashion-lovers simply have to tag their outfits with #MyDubai and #KimoraDubai between July 20 and August 3 for a chance to win. Three winners will be given two VIP passes each, with one grand prize winner snatching up a bespoke Galeries Lafayette experience, complete with a personal shopper style session, hair makeover, gift voucher, gift hamper and more.
At the session, three “leading Dubai personalities” will outfit models with pieces from Galeries Lafeyette. Simmons, the Baby Phat creator, previous face of Chanel and reality TV star — Kimora: Life in the Fab Lane, anyone? — will act as a judge.
Co-hosted by regional fashion expert, Mohammad Sultan Al Habtoor, the session will also see Simmons putting together different looks while dishing out tips on how to accessorise and pull off the latest trends — she’ll even include abayas. The star will interact with the audience between each look.
