Dubai: Khloe Kardashian is now the second member of the reality show family to cause pandemonium in Dubai.

Following in the footsteps of her older sister Kim, who visited in 2011, the youngest Kardashian sister did double duty at Dubai Mall on Sunday, visiting two stores to promote her clothing line in a whistlestop visit to the UAE.

Hundreds of excited fans lined the lanes of the mall over several levels to catch a glimpse of the 29-year-old as she launched Kardashian Kollection, a high-street clothing range she designs with her sisters Kim and Kourtney, all of whom found fame on the reality series Keeping Up With The Kardashians, now in its eighth season.

Kardashian -- who stopped off in Dubai for just a 12 hours before heading off to Australia -- visited Lipsy at 5pm and then Iconic. A camera crew from her TV show trailed her, filming content for season nine of Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

“We’re all about embracing a woman’s curves. I hate when people feel like they can only be trendy in a size zero or four,” Kardashian said in an interview earlier on Sunday.

“We are who we are. We show the good, the bad, the happy, the sad,” she said of the popularity of her show and family.

At Iconic, Kardashian surprised her fans by speaking into a microphone before she emerged, causing screams to echo through the mall. “Hello my Dubai dolls,” she said, adapting her signature phrase.

Perhaps the biggest fan there was 17-year-old Dana Al Sabah, who fought back tears as she told how she’d flown in from Kuwait and skipped midterm exams to meet Kardashian. “She just always makes me smile, even when I’ve had a bad day,” the teen, who had been at the mall since 10am, said tearfully.

At her earlier stop, Kardashian had caused a fan frenzy, pausing to take photographs and even sign fans’ arms. One of the lucky ones was starstruck South African lifeguard Mareesha Nina, 23, who could barely speak but held out her forearm to show off her autograph.

US student Sophia Gardener, 18, was among the fans at the front of the barriers, having waited since noon. “I love the Kardashians because they are crazy,” adding she would buy one of the black dresses in the collection, which retails for Dh399.

Before the store was cordoned off and surrounded by fans five rows deep, shoppers had been picking up items from the range, which includes a top for Dh199 and a sequinned jacket for Dh699.
