It appears that Justin Theroux is not entirely to blame for Jen's new rock'n'roll lifestyle. Despite the bad-boy standing accused of encouraging his A-list girlfriend to let her hair down in the Big Apple, pals of the actress say that Jen, who once dated the dreadlocked Counting Crows frontman, Adam Duritz and womaniser, John Mayer, didn't need much encouragement to embrace her inner rock chick and the big city life.
Having recently splashed out on three New York apartments - with the most recent being a Dh33 million three-bedroom complex that boasts two nurseries - Jen has also swapped her old LA pals, including Courteney Cox and Sheryl Crow - with whom she used to enjoy quiet nights in or sedate Hollywood dinners - for vodka-fuelled nights out on the town with talk show host, Chelsea Handler, and her NBF, the newly single Jennifer Lopez.
And with a ready-made gang of party pals to hook up with on a nightly basis, including Ben Stiller and his wife, Christine Taylor, and no new movies on the horizon, sources say Jen has decided to take a break from her career, with one spilling, "Moving out of LA has made her less plugged into the industry. She can relax more in New York and enjoy the fruits of her work. She's ready to have some fun."
