Veteran Indian actor Pankaj Kapur says he agreed to star in Finding Fanny because it gave him a chance to work with director Homi Adajania and a talented starcast.

“I got a very good vibe from Homi. I felt very comfortable in his presence. I felt he was chilled out and a nice guy who came up with an interesting script. He gave me a lot of confidence as a person. The kind of role I play in the film is very unique and something that I have never done before,” Kapur said.

The film, starring Deepika Padukone, Arjun Kapoor, Naseeruddin Shah, Dimple Kapadia and Kapur, is slated to hit screens in India on September 12.

Kapur, 60, praised the young cast of the film, saying he was impressed with their dedication and discipline to the craft.

“It’s a great pleasure to work with fine actors and Naseer is one of the finest actors that we have. It is always great working with him but in this case, the three other actors were quite a joy too. They had a down-to-earth approach, great professionalism and discipline towards their craft.”

The film is in English but Kapur does not think that would prevent the audience from relating to the movie.

“The producers have their vision about how they want to market the film. There are a whole lot of people who speak the language comfortably. When they see Indian characters speaking English, I don’t think they will find it troublesome. Some films have already been made in this language,” he said.
