UPDATE: Sonam Kapoor is at a Mumbai hospital, where she is being treated for swine flu.

Kapoor was admitted to Mumbai’s suburban Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani hospital for treatment of the H1N1 influenza virus early Sunday morning after arriving from Rajkot in an air ambulance.

“She is stable and is under observation in our ward,” the director of the hospital, Dr Ram Narain said.

The actress will be undergoing treatment at the hospital for the next few days until her throat swab tests negative for H1N1 virus.

The actress was in Rajkot for the shooting of Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, which also stars Salman Khan. Khan is now reportedly undergoing tests for the illness, which has affected tens of thousands of people across India.

Filmmaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra, his wife Anupama Chopra and their son are also down with swine flu.

Anupama, a noted film critic, tweeted: “Folks, I have been felled by swine flu. So no reviews this week. Do send me yours — tell me what I missed.”

Meanwhile, her filmmaker husband was reportedly admitted to the Jaslok Hospital along with his son. But they got discharged recently, a hospital official said.

“He and his son got discharged [on Saturday] morning... They were hospitalised February 26,” the source said.
