Shilpa Shetty says the Masaba Gupta dress she showcased at Lakme Fashion Week in Mumabai would be perfect for beach party. The slinky black print dress with a dramatic waist-level cut came with an attached dupatta (long scarf) drape.
“I feel elated taking the ramp for Masaba. I hope I have done justice to her collection,” said Shetty.
Gupta’s collection was called ‘Wanderess’. “I was nervous about today’s collection; it’s about free-spirited women who love to travel,” said the designer.
Her retro-feel collection was a blend of flared beige minis, printed dresses, and thigh-length jackets with flared pants and a cut-out sari gown.
Other pieces included attached dupattas on skirts, bell-bottom shararas (loose pleated trousers) and long-sleeved tail-coat cholis (blouse) with printed saris.
