The rumour mills in Bollywood have gone into overdrive with the buzz that the director-producer Karan Johar has paid Salman Khan Rs150 crore (Dh90 million) to star in Shhuddhi and the same amount to Aamir Khan for another film. But the filmmaker has laughed it off and trashed the news.
“Let’s introduce a simple place to certain news reports ... it’s called the TRUTH ... easy to find but very few manage to get there. Apparently I have paid 300 crores to 2 major super stars ... yes!! If this is true then I am also looking for a job, a house and a LIFE!!” Johar tweeted Thursday.
Shhuddhi, to be directed by Karan Malhotra of Agneepath fame was to be made with Hrithik Roshan earlier, while the Khan-starrer hasn’t been titled yet. Both the films will be produced by Johar’s Dharma Productions.
