Director Vikram Bhatt’s Creature 3D may have received a lukewarm response at the Indian box office, but the movie is already earning a profit.
Made on a budget of Rs180 million (Dh10.8 million), with the publicity and advertising cost at Rs70 million, Creature 3D earned Rs113.4 million at the box office in three days of its release, read a statement.
The film, starring Bipasha Basu and Imran Abbas, said to be the country’s first creature feature, also fetched Rs120 million by selling its satellite rights, Rs40 million from music and collected Rs20 million at the overseas box office.
So, while the total investment was Rs250 million, it has so far earned Rs293.4 million in three days of its release.
