Yudh, which marks Amitabh Bachchan’s foray into the fiction space on television, will air on Sony Entertainment Television starting July 14.

The show, produced by Bachchan’s production company Saraswati Creations in collaboration with Endemol India, has been directed by Ribhu Dasgupta. While filmmaker Anurag Kashyap is the creative director of the show, another filmmaker Shoojit Sircar has been roped in as a creative consultant.

Yudh follows the life of Bachchan’s character, Yudhishthir Sikarwar, a real estate baron who is diagnosed with a degenerative neurological disorder. It traces his journey, his struggle with his collapsing health, his battle with business rivals and his complicated family equations.

Also starring veteran actress Sarika along with names such as Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Kay Kay Menon, the show promises to give a “cinematic experience” to its viewers.
