Do you introspect over your decisions?

I do that constantly. Earlier, I was going through a very low health phase. First, I injured my back, which was very painful. I have had blood pressure problems — tremendous palpitations. I smoked like a chimney. But I'm now back and I don't think I have felt better, healthier or fitter than I am at this point in my life.

Tell us about your personality and your most precious acquisition.

I need to be honest. In fact, I face honesty head-on any time. My acquisitions have been all about my growing awareness of my own self and the world around me.

What has changed about you from 1999 to 2012?

Nothing and everything. I'm the same guy, but there is more to me now.

What do you have to say about link-ups, Bollywood fights, fashion and your family?

I haven't had any link-ups. For those who do, good for them! Bollywood fights are not just in Bollywood. People fight everywhere but, seriously, fighting is for children, so it's better done in school. As for fashion, just wear what you are comfortable in and you will automatically look good. I can't function without my family — the air in my lungs.

Any ridiculous encounter with a fan?

I won't call it ridiculous but I've had numerous encounters with fans. I cherish each one of them. They are too enamoured by the persona created on-screen. They don't realise that I'm not that guy. There are a hundred people responsible for making my character so strong. I'm a labourer... a worker and I am here to do my work. If I look good at the end of it then I know I've done my job well and that my team have done their jobs well too.

What would you take with you if you get stranded on an island?

Not material — just Suzanne and my boys. We would live our days in the wilderness, learn to hunt, build our own tree-house, relax and become one with nature. We would have a ball!

Would you consider doing a Hollywood film?

I would definitely go for it if a good script comes my way.
