Australia’s little monsters are in for a massive scare this week. Or, erm, a massive treat?

Queen of outlandishness and mother monster herself, Lady Gaga, arrived to her hotel in Perth on Sunday afternoon, ahead of her Wednesday night performance, looking ghoulishly stylish. She greeted fans in the lobby — some of whom had travelled from around the country just for a chance to meet her.

Gaga posed for photos swathed in a leather jacket, fishnet stockings and thigh-high leather boots, every bit the pop rock star that her followers have come to love.

Later, she posted a selfie to her Instagram showcasing her all-black lipstick, claw nails and septum piercing as well as exaggerated dark eyebrows, captioning it: “My AussieMonsters at the hotel. I was so overwhelmed with happiness and have missed you so much.”

Her Perth show on August 20 will mark the start of the Australian leg of ArtRAVE: The Artpop Ball Tour, and the tour will be her first in the country since 2012. Other than Perth, she’s set to play two shows in Melbourne, one show in Brisbane and two shows in Sydney, wrapping up on August 31.

The spectacle that is Gaga’s live show, in support of her fourth studio album Artpop, will make its way to Dubai’s Meydan Racecourse on September 10. Tickets are priced at Dh495 (general admission), Dh750 (grandstand seating) and Dh1,295 (golden circle). VIP tables and suites passes are also available, starting at Dh2,000.
