Italian artist Alexsandro Palombo has turned George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin into characters from The Simpsons. Palombo has captured the duo in a series of illustrations called Simpsonised, giving Alamuddin a cartoon Oscar de la Renta dress and Clooney an animated Armani tux.
The illustrations, posted on his blog Humorchic, show Clooney and Alamuddin making their way through Venice’s Grand Canal in their wedding attire and a series of other outfits.
“It’s been years since we [saw] a celebrity wedding so perfect in beauty and elegance. George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin are just like what the great couples of Hollywood movies were: intelligent, ironic and elegant,” Palombo told Lebanon’s The Daily Star. “I wanted to immortalise their most important day, freeze it in time.”
The couple exchanged vows at a ceremony in Venice on September 27.
