Celebrities are a pampered lot. And at the Dubai International Film Festival, things are no different for them. When they are not walking the red carpet to promote their films or sitting down with journalists to talk about their films, they also have the option to walk into the festival’s Gift Lounge and basically take what they like. The ladies at Lumin, the company running the lounge, tell us who got what:
Paul Bettany
Dropped by the lounge with his son. He really loved the cool T-shirts for kids from Cute Edition. He also loved the Mont Blanc sunglasses he was gifted because he thought they made him look really ‘young and cool’.
Olga Kurylenko
Borrowed Tiffany jewels for the red carpet and was so excited to wear them for the premiere of her film The Water Diviner... but also fell in love with local jewellery brand Balu Joias. She took four rose gold barcode rings which spelt out the word Love. She said she was going to wear them “all the time”. She was also desperate to find time in her schedule to come back to have a mani and pedi in the Bedashing beauty lounge.
John Abraham
He spent ages learning about fab new fragrance Initio. It’s French and launches in Dubai tomorrow. The Bollywood hunk had fun playing around with all of the different scents and created his own special fragrance.
Anil Kapoor
The Bollywood star came in with his son who is getting married and joked that he would “have to give all of his gifts to him!” He was gifted a Jean Paul Gaultier watch which he wanted to put on straight away and also took a gift from O’de Rose for his daughter Sonam Kapoor. Aww.
Alexandra Burke
The British singer was desperate to find time in her hectic schedule to get a mani/pedi at Bedashing. She loved the Baraboux bags and asked for one for her mum so she could give it to her for Christmas.
Khalid Abol Naga
The Egyptian actor and VIP Lounge friend (he’s been visiting us for three years) stopped by. He loved the Initio fragrance and instantly put on his new Jean Paul Gaultier watch. He also said he’s a huge fan of O’de Rose Boutique and said he was trying to squeeze in a visit to the store.
Virginia Madsen
Huge social media fan and loved Keek. She admitted to being obsessed with apps and did a really fun shout out on Keek.
