It looks like the rumour mill may have churned up an element of truth for once.
That pretty unbelievable story about Justin Bieber somehow being involved in the breakdown of Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr’s marriage became a bit more believable on Wednesday morning when video emerged of a spat between Bloom and Bieber on the Mediterranean party island of Ibiza.
Let’s just say: Solange vs Jay Z, it ain’t.
TMZ reports that a punch was thrown by 37-year-old Bloom, according to an eyewitness, although it’s not shown in the video. Mostly, it’s a lot of guys standing around looking huffy outside the celebrity-packed Cipriani restaurant (Paris Hilton and Puff Daddy were reportedly there). At one point, the man identified as Bloom walks away, then returns to try and get right up in the Bieb’s face.
It all ended with Bieber walking away, and calling Bloom a derogatory term usually used against women.
While he reportedly ducked the punch, what 20-year-old Bieber did do, however, was retaliate — by posting a photo of Bloom’s ex, Victoria’s Secret model Kerr, on his Instagram feed (it was later removed).
Bloom and Kerr, parents to 3-year-old Flynn, split in October 2013, although rumours of closeness between Bieber and Kerr stemmed from the 2012 Victoria’s Secret show, where she walked the runway, he performed, and both posed for cute pictures.
Earlier this year, it was reported Bloom was sharing details on how his Buddhist religion helps people get through hard times — with none other than Bieber’s longtime on-off girlfriend Selena Gomez. Go figure.
