They’re back! 30 Seconds to Mars, the band fronted by Oscar-winning actor Jared Leto, is returning to the UAE for a performance on April 10 at the Dubai World Trade Centre Arena. This will be the first time the band, who performed in Abu Dhabi in 2011, will be performing in Dubai, on the sidelines of the Middle East Film and Comic Con (MEFCC).

Consisting of the Leto brothers, Jared and Shannon, and lead guitarist Tomo Milicevic, the band, known for energetic live performances, has sold more than five million albums worldwide. Number 1 hit singles include From Yesterday, Kings and Queens and This is War.

“Live Nation is very excited to welcome 30 Seconds to Mars to Dubai,” says Tyler Mervyn, senior vice-president of Talent. “The band’s energetic and skilful execution will leave little doubt as to why they have such devout fans. Their live sets are filled with emotion and inspiration and we simply cant wait! April 10th at the DWTC Arena will truly be a night to remember!”

The MEFCC is an annual event celebrating everything pop culture, running from April 9 to 11. Headliners this year include Star Trek star William Shatner, best known to generations of cult TV fans as Captain James T. Kirk; Karl Urban, best known as Eomer in the Lord of the Rings trilogy, Dr Leonard “Bones” McCoy in Star Trek, and Judge Dredd in Dredd (2012); and Sam J. Jones, who famously starred in the 1980 film Flash Gordon.

Tickets to the 30 Seconds to Mars concert are sold separately. They are priced Dh295 (General Admission), Dh395 (Fan Pit) and Dh550 (VIP). They go on sale from February 11 at 12pm on ticketmaster.ae. A dedicated website has also been created for the event. Go to MarsInDubai.com.
