Harry Styles’ ex-fling divorces her husband

The woman with whom the One Direction heartthrob enjoyed a fling, has separated from her husband

It has been reported that Lucy Horobin, the DJ who enjoyed a fling with Harry styles, is divorcing her husband, Oliver Pope.

Despite reports that they were working through their problems, the couple — who were married for a year — have decided to go their separate ways.

A friend close to the couple told the Daily Mirror that Horobin and Pope believe they will remain friends.

Speaking to the newspaper, a friend of Pope said: “Ollie and Lucy have decided to end their marriage.”

Stating that they were “deeply saddened” by their choice as Oliver had attempted to “forgive” the radio DJ but the strain of her infidelity caused constant arguments.

“Lucy got a lot of flack from Harry fans when the fling was exposed and Ollie was the one who supported her through it.”

The pal continued: “Behind closed doors they argued about it and in the end they agreed they’d be better off splitting up.”

The short-lived affair which wrecked 32-year-old Horobin’s marriage began when The One Direction singer was 17.

Harry met Horobin, nicknamed Lulu by friends, last August, when she interviewed the band for Manchester-based station Key 103.

Their relationship was common knowledge among staff at the station, who had noticed them flirting on air.

A former colleague at Key 103 told the Daily Mail: “Apparently Lucy and Harry hit it off from the moment the boys walked into the studio — it was electric and they were flirting like crazy.

“Lucy made it quite clear she fancied him and there was a lot of banter between them, both on and off air. It got a little risque.

“She is a really fun girl with loads of personality and she’s not at all shy about coming forward and making sure she gets what she wants. People knew that Lucy’s marriage was in a strange place at the time and obviously the attraction between her and Harry was mutual. She looks just like George Clooney’s ex, Lisa Snowdon, and that sophisticated ‘older woman’ look obviously appeals to Harry.”

Following the affair, Pope was left reeling over Styles’ behaviour, insisting he was not the innocent party in the relationship and actively pursued the relationship.

Horobin had been married to husband Pope for only a year when she met Styles.

A spokesperson for Horobin told the Mirror: “Over the past few weeks both Lucy and her husband have agreed to end their marriage and decided to go their separate ways.”
