Haifa Wehbe and Ahmad Abu Hashima have filed for divorce, it has been confirmed. The Lebanese star and Egyptian businessman have decided to part ways following six years of marriage.

The news was verified by Haifa herself, posting on Twitter: “Moments of happiness are still alive, even through the storm. I appreciate and thank you for all the love and heartfelt support at this difficult time. It really means a lot to me. I will be back soon.”
She went on to post a link to a Soundcloud file which is the full telephone call she made to Lebanese network LBC confirming the split.
“After six years together, we still love each other, and we shall remain friends,” she said. “I feel it is important that the fans know, because they were there when Ahmad and I got married, so it is their right to find out about our separation as well.
“We really do still have a tremendous amount of respect for each other, and now I have confirmed the news, I hope the media will give us time to get through this difficult time.”
