Keeping love under wraps
While Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra want to keep their relationship under wraps, (read our report below), Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif are forced to hide their romance. The reason: fear of how Kaif's ex Salman Khan would react to the news. Rumour has it that Ranbir's parents are extremely fond of Kat and would like the two to go public about their relationship, but the lovebirds are reluctant to do so as they feel that any public displays of affection would upset Salman and he might cause problems in their personal as well as professional lives. Remember what happened to Vivek Oberoi after he went public about his relationship with Aishwarya Rai, Salman's then girlfriend? So, when we told you last week that Kat and Salman are back together, we meant readbetween the lines.
Its hide and seek
Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra are determined to take their relationship to the next level, but away from the media glare.
This was why they decided to take a day off from their busy schedule and fly to Goa to spend some time together.
According to sources, the two flew business class and wore huge sunglasses to avoid attention. In spite of the efforts, the media found out and now the question on everybody's mind is: when are they going to admit to their relationship? The keyword being "when", not "if".
Salman's new pal
While Salman and Shah Rukh Khan's cold war is still on, Salman is slowly warming up to the other Khan - Aamir.
Apart from the fact that the otherwise reclusive Aamir attended a party held to celebrate the success of Dabangg, Bollywood is abuzz with speculation that the two, along with Priyanka Chopra, will be seen together on screen next year. The last time the two Khans shared screen space was in Andaaz Apna Apna, a laugh riot that is still talked about.
The details of this new project, however, are not known. What is also not known is how SRK will react to this news and whether Aamir has an axe to grind as far as SRK is concerned?
Double celebrations
Looks like October is going to be an extremely busy month for Vivek Oberoi. Apart from the fact that he will be tying the knot with Priyanka Alva at the end of this month, his much-awaited film Rakta Charitra will also be released. Produced and directed by Ram Gopal Varma, this film has been simultaneously shot in three languages - Hindi, Tamil and Telegu - in Raavan style, but Raavan was in two languages. When asked to comment on the fact that apart from working on the performance, he had to work on the diction of these languages, Oberoi replied, "It's more about the acting than the languages. Languages might change but the expression does not. The emotions are universal. It's more like talking through the eyes."
It's good the directors don't agree with Vivek otherwise dialogue writers would soon be made redundant.
Why Deol skipped the ride
Are you still wondering why Abhay Deol, the very talented, soft-spoken actor, distances himself from the chick flick Aisha? The skeletons are finally coming out of the closet. Rumour has it that he did not like debut producer Rhea Kapoor's ‘high-handed' attitude on the sets and complained to her dad Anil (Kapoor) about her behaviour. Anil, apparently, was quite dismissive. This put off Abhay and he decided to stay away from the film promotions. So, now if you are wondering who won this round, I would say the jury is still out.
Did you know?
Rohit Shetty's Golmaal 3 was inspired by Khatta Meetha, a 1978 hit that was produced by Romu and Raj Sippy. Initially, Shetty thought that the similarities weren't very strong and he wouldn't need to credit the original, but when a junior artist pointed them out, Shetty decided to approach the Sippys to buy the rights. Negotiations are on and Shetty is hoping his film will see the light of day.
