SRK all set to do it
Will he? Why won’t he? Should he? All these questions have now been answered. Shah Rukh Khan, the king of Bollywood, has agreed to work with Vidhu Vinod Chopra, the maker of the popular Munnabhai movie series and of course the hit 3 Idiots.

Apparently, Chopra has been waiting to work with SRK for a very long time but circumstances have been such that it never worked out. You will be surprised to know that SRK was his first choice for Kareeb, 1942 – A Love Story, Munnabhai MBBS and even 3 Idiots. In case of 3 Idiots, SRK refused to work with Chopra because he rubbished Paheli, a film that SRK acted in and produced as well. But now that their relationship has thawed, the two will be making a film called Ferrari ki Sawari.

The film, ironically, was first offered to Aamir Khan but when he refused (saying that his plate was quite full), Chopra immediately approached SRK. So whose gain is whose loss? We shall wait and see.

Surya heads to B-town
Last week I told you about how Vivek Oberoi found his lady love, Radhika Apte, on the sets of Ram Gopal Verma’s Raktha Charitra. Now, the other USP of this movie is actor Surya. For those who don’t know, Surya is one of the biggest stars in the South Indian film industry. And he’s making his Bollywood debut with this RGV film. This is where I begin to worry about him. After all, unlike their female counterparts, many male superstars from south India have not been able to make a mark in Bollywood. Now let’s hope this actor turns out to be luckier than his peers.

Manisha ready to tie the knot
Manisha Koirala, the actress who almost made it to the A-list of Bollywood’s leading ladies, has realised that it’s time to seek happiness in real life. On June 19, this pretty lady from Nepal will tie the knot with Samrat Dahal, heir of a well-known Nepalese business family. But Manisha’s fans should keep their fingers crossed as she has a reputation of being a runaway bride. In 2001, she was engaged to the Australian Ambassador to Nepal Crispin Conroy but she called it off because she felt unsure and ‘not ready for marriage’. Then last year she got engaged to Christopher Dorris, an American author, speaker and mental toughness trainer but developed cold feet again.
So, let’s hope she’ll be third-time lucky. The wedding will be held in Kathmandu and will
be attended by the who’s who of Bollywood.
