Willie Revillame is slated for a TV comeback on TV5 in a revival of the hit ’80s game show Kwarta o Kahon, popularised by Pepe Pimentel.
Revillame ended his TV hosting stint in October last year, saying he needed to take a break from his TV career.
The show was apparently not making as much money, given the high costs of production involved.
In his new deal with TV5, Revillame will be producing his own show and will be required to market the programme to advertisers.
The news was welcomed by Revillame’s fans, who have long been clamouring for his return.
The host is known to be generous in giving away cash prizes and gifts to his audience.
