Our TV5 insider says the network’s top male news anchor, Paolo Bediones, has resigned, but only from his news reporting job on the daily newscast.
He still gets to retain his position as a news executive, and as host of the weekly news documentary, Demolisyon (Demolition). Bediones’ resignation pre-empted a network disciplinary action following the leak of the celebrity newscaster’s sex tape.
Bediones has not been on the daily news programme for weeks now since the scandal broke out. Though the network issued a statement in support of Bediones when the video went viral, rumours were rife that it was going to sanction its top male newscaster with a forced resignation from the network.
