Gab Valenciano was recently honoured and featured at the UCLA Hammer Museum as a “cutting edge fresh filmmaker” during their Flex Screening Series. He is the first Filipino featured in this event and his super selfies were shown to an international audience of filmmakers. Valenciano rose to fame on YouTube for his super selfie series and also directed the music video for This Love by American Idol season 11 runner-up, Filipino-American Jessica Sanchez. His super selfie videos also inspired pop superstar Beyonce’s “super selfie” video for 7/11. To date, Valenciano’s videos have more than 120 million views.
