Star Cinema is cooking up a Coco Martin-Toni Gonzaga tandem for its next film offering. Martin just starred in Feng Shui 2, which was a certified box office hit. Gonzaga, meanwhile, starred in Starting Over Again, opposite Piolo Pascual, and was also one of the biggest commercial successes in the industry last year. Martin and Gonzaga have not worked together on a project before, and their chemistry will be a question mark, but with their recent box-office success, their upcoming project should be something to watch out for. That and Martin’s plan to produce a movie with Vice Ganda should cement the actor’s status as a box office star, after his earlier films with Angline Quinto, Julia Montes and Sarah Geronimo didn’t do as well at the tills as expected.
