And fans couldn’t have asked for more: The musician rocked through his biggest hits, jumping around the stage, and performed some beloved international songs, which were gladly lapped up by those in attendance.

The 38-year-old, whose real name is Francisco Gaudencio Lope Belardo Manalac, told tabloid! before his concert that he loved coming back to the UAE to give Filipino expats a taste of home. The coach on The Voice of the Philippines also said the year has been exceptional for him.

“If I’ll think of this year’s world tour and with The Voice of the Philippines show, I have to pause and think — wow it’s been a great year for me,” said the award-winning singer. “I’m great and happy. I’ve done so many things and it’s been a great year so far, with The Voice and the process of making a new album.”

The hundreds of fans who turned up on Friday night will surely agree.
