Filipino heartthrob Dingdong Dantes will be the guest in a concert featuring Regine Velasquez and Ogie Alacasid on February 5 in Dubai.
On this trip, Dantes is expected to finalise an agreement that will establish a local chapter of his YES Foundation, which aims to help underprivileged schoolchildren with scholarships to continue their studies.
He will be making a special appearance at the Asian Flavours restaurant at the Dream Palace Hotel in Deira to meet his fans and discuss the launch of the local chapter.
Dantes also confirmed that he will be performing with his girlfriend, Marian Rivera, but denied rumours that they are engaged.
The two are said to be travelling to Spain to meet Rivera's father.
No Love Lost
In other news, award-winning actor Coco Martin was rumoured to have spoken to the producers of Kung Tayo'y Magkakalayo, in which he is one of the stars, about quitting the programme.
He is allegedly miffed by daily comments from Kris Aquino, known to be very tactless, and Kim Chui, an aspiring upstart.
According to sources, he was even quoted as telling the producer, "I've earned enough from the show to last through the year without working, so I'd be happy to be terminated from the programme."
Not so tweet
Meanwhile, Angelica Panganiban, who has more than 35,000 followers, closed her account on Twitter because of some rude comments from fans and supporters.
Panganiban told the media that she was hurt by some accusations of her being a gold digger and a social climber.
However, as many suspected, the move appears to be a publicity stunt for her upcoming series, Rubi, as she now has a new Twitter account in her show name.
