The guru is coming. World renowned speaker, author, physician, philosopher, Hollywood’s favourite agony uncle and all-round nice guy Deepak Chopra is coming to the UAE.

The Indian-born physician will speak at two events – on September 17 in Dubai and September 18 in Abu Dhabi – organiser Flash Entertainment announced on Tuesday.

The Dubai event, called The Future of Wellbeing seminar, will be held at the Madinat Jumeirah and is open to all. The Abu Dhabi event is targeted at business leaders and will be a full-day workshop called Soul of Leadership, to be held at the St Regis Saadiyat Island.

“I feel privileged to share my thoughts with the people of the UAE, those who seek to improve their own wellbeing. People can grow and develop by embracing some fundamental rules and I hope my seminars can help equip people to succeed in the future regardless of their role in life,” Chopra said in a release.

“As the UAE continues to go from strength to strength and emerge on the world stage; it’s an exciting time for the country – but a time which requires strong leaders. I hope my thoughts can offer guidance and support to the rising stars of the UAE’s executive world at my leadership workshop in Abu Dhabi, but also engaging with the wider public in Dubai and passing on my insights for personal development.”

General public ticket prices for the Dubai event start at Dh150 and range from Dh400 to Dh600, with a book-signing session at the end of the seminar. Limited VIP seats are also available for Dh1,000 inclusive of a private reception attended by Chopra.

For the all-day workshop in Abu Dhabi, tickets will be sold on a first-come-first-serve basis. Individual places start at Dh3,000 including access to the workshop and a three-course lunch. Early Bird tickets are available now at a reduced price of Dh2,800 with additional discounts for group purchases.

Chopra will also host an exclusive lunch for 150 people available for Dh4,500.
