It's confirmed. International singing sensation Charice Pempengco is joining the cast of the US hit show, Glee. She will play the role of an exchange student from the Philippines who would be the chief rival of Rachel, the role being played by Lea Michelle.
Pempengco earlier denied the rumour in a Twitter post, but finally admitted in a recent press statement. She apologised for the denial, saying she just didn't want to pre-empt the negotiations and the official announcement that the US producers had every right to make.
After launching her chart-busting single Pyramid, the Glee appearance is the next important highlight of the rising star's ascent in Hollywood.
