After reports emerged online that Fast & Furious star Paul Walker died in a fiery car accident Saturday afternoon, celebrities took to social media outlets to express their shock and sadness.
Walker, 40, was a passenger in a friend’s car when they lost control of the vehicle. Walker was taking friends on a test drive of the Porsche GT, reported Hollywoodlife.com.
His Fast & Furious co-star and off-screen friend, actor Vin Diesel, posted a photo of the pair on Instagram. “Brother I will miss you very much. I am absolutely speechless. Heaven has gained a new Angel. Rest in Peace,” he wrote.
Ludacris, who also starred alongside Walker in the franchise, also posted a photo on his Instagram. It was an on-set capture that read “THANKFUL FOR THE FAST FAMILY.” The singer-actor wrote: “Your humble spirit was felt from the start, wherever you blessed your presence you always left a mark…”
