You’re going to be glad they came.

English-Irish boy band The Wanted are going to be chasing the sun in Dubai next year at the Emirates Airline Dubai Jazz Festival, organisers have announced.

In case you’ve heard all the puns, this five-piece boy band are currently one of the hottest groups out there, apart from One Direction, with massive hits including Glad You Came, Warzone and their most recent global sensation Chasing the Sun.

They are the third act to be announced and will play on the same day as British singer Olly Murs on Valentine’s Day, February 14, at the Festival Park, Dubai Festival City.

Another name recently announced was jazz and pop sensation Jamie Cullum, who is returning to the festival on February 20.

It’s going to be an all-star February 14, says Anthony Younes, the co-founder and CEO of Chillout Productions.

“For eleven years, the Emirates Airline Dubai Jazz Festival has always brought a great mix to its line-up, showcasing everything from international main gigs acts to all genres of jazz music. Besides doubling-up the main pop acts, we will launch supplementary concerts that would make the ultimate jazz lovers speechless. All we can say for now is that definitely it couldn’t get any bigger than this,” he says.

The Wanted, who are now managed in the US by Justin Bieber’s manager Scooter Braun, are all set to release their third album next month. The band also star in their own reality show called The Wanted Life, which airs in the UAE on E! Entertainment HD.

The Emirates Airline Dubai Jazz Festival 2014 will run from February 13 to 21 at Festival Park, Dubai Festival City. Tickets are now available on ticketmaster.ae.
