Irish comedian Ardal O’Hanlon is the latest comedy act to line up a performance in Dubai in May. The actor and stand-up comic — known for his role as Father Dougal in the 1990s TV show Father Ted — performs at Almas Tower, JLT, opposite McGettigan’s, on May 2. Tickets for the fully-seated show are Dh125 from McGettigan’s and Platinum List.

The show starts at 9pm. O’Hanlan started the International Comedy Cellar in Dublin, winning the Hackney Empire New Act of the Year competition in 1994. He went on to win awards for Father Ted in 1995, and later starred in the BBC comedy My Hero.

Other comedy acts coming to the UAE in May are Jeff Dunham and John Bishop.
